In 2017 I began making two-dimensional sun catchers strung together in sets of three with chain. Using natural imagery like snakes, eggs, bones, flowers, and moons. These pieces commemorated concepts such as coping with grief, balancing strength and gentleness, the desire to protect our natural world, and prompts for self care. A talisman is a an object thought to bring good fortune, so each piece made was done so lovingly and with intention. I was fortunate to receive recognition from this work in a short artist feature on CBC Arts that aired July 2018.
